Affordable Gas & Electric Company, LLC, (AGE) announced today, that it has entered into an agreement to represent Constellation NewEnergy – Gas Division, allowing AGE to bring competitive natural gas prices to customers throughout Ameren, IL’s utility area.
“Businesses in Ameren’s utility area have the ability to choose a natural gas supplier rather than staying on Ameren’s standard natural gas rate. There are limitations to when and how a business can choose a competitive supplier. As an authorized broker for Constellation NewEnergy’s Gas Division, we are able to help our customers secure natural gas rates at up to 25% less than Ameren’s standard rate” said Jeff Haarmann, Managing Partner of Affordable Gas & Electric.
Business accounts wishing to secure lower natural gas rates must commit to a competitive supplier prior to Jan 31 of 2013. All switches committed prior to that date will officially begin purchasing natural gas from their new suppliers on May 1, 2013.
Affordable Gas & Electric Company, LLC, is based in Southern Illinois. Both Jeff Haarmann and Gary Niebrugge, partners of AGE, are natives of Effingham. Niebrugge resides in the Effingham area, while Haarmann lives in the Mt. Vernon area. Jeff Haarmann has been working in the competitive natural gas and electricity industry for the past 5 years. In 2011, Haarmann’s company assisted nearly 40,000 Ohio residents and 1200 commercial customers with switching to competitive gas and electricity suppliers. He has done similar work in NY, NJ, TX, PA, IL and IN. Affordable Gas & Electric Company, LLC, is a member of the Effingham and Jefferson County Chambers of Commerce.
